Rail Masterclass Migrant Series
Second Semester 2015 Intake

After successful deliveries in 2014 and the first semester of 2015, RSA is calling on expressions of interest from professionals from diverse cultural backgrounds to take part on the next intake of the RSA Master Class Migrant Program (MCM).
Supported by the Queensland Government, this RSA initiative aims to strengthen the capacity of Queenslanders from culturally diverse backgrounds to partake in Queensland’s economy and society by providing them with bridging knowledge and skills to improve their employability profile and have a better chance to pursue a career within the Australian Rail sector.
Run in six weeks, the MCM program will assist participants into potential work-experience placements in organisations in the rail sector and will also serve as a potential pathway into the RSA “Train Tracks" program.
Successful registrants to the program will attend a once-a-week workshop session in the following areas:
Monday, August 17th: Introduction to the Australian Rail Industry
Monday, August 24th: Fundamentals of the Rail Safety National Law (RSNL)
Monday, August 31st: Communicating effectively in the Rail Industry
Monday, September 7th: Managing your Rail Career
Monday, September 14th: Australian Rail Business Culture and
Monday, September 21st: 'Safely Access the Rail Corridor' Unit of Competency (TLIF2080C)
Graduation Event: Friday, October 2nd, 2015.

The structure of the RSA MCM program will ensure that all entrants will be compliant to the National Rail Safety Act by completing the Nationally recognised SARC accreditation, required to work in a rail environment and necessary to obtain the Rail Workers Card.
